Faith No More "We're Not Splitting!"

San Franciscan stars blast break-up rumours, and start work on a new album!

Faith No More, who recently cancelled their UK tour, have strongly denied rumours that they were splitting up. According to the band, the reason the British dates were pulled was that they have already started work on a new album. Apparently, the quintet--vocalist Mike Patton, guitarist Deen [spelled just like that] Menta, bassist Billy Gould and drummer Mike Bordin--decided to shrug off the commercial disappointment of their last album, "King For A Day... Fool For A Lifetime," and return home to San Francsico to begin assembling new material. The band themselves have "categorically denied" both the reports that they were set to split, and the stories that Patton was leaving the group. However, both Patton and Bottum have also been working on side-projects. The singer is set to undertake a short UK tour with Mr Bungle in December [don't they mean US tour?], while Bottum's other band, Imperial Teen, have just finished recording their debut album for Slash/London. Faith No More themselves have just completed a series of highly sucessful South American dates on the Monsters Of Rock tour joining Ozzy Osbourne, Therapy?, Paradise Lost, and Alice Cooper in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina. They're due to hit the studio in the near future, and sources close to them insist that they've already wrapped up at least three new tracks.
