Well I saw the much anticipated first live Faith No More show since 1995 yesterday, and here's how it went. 20 bands, some big names, some not, lined up to perform an all day concert starting at 1pm and ending at 11pm. My friends and I were driving to Chicago from Bowling Green Ohio so we left at 8am to be sure we got there before it started. We arrived at 12:30 pm and were all ready to get in and see the start of the show. Ooops, kinda forgot about the 1 hour time difference between Il. and OH. So it really was 11:30 and we had to kill some time in Tinley Park, where there's not a remote fucking thing to do. Anyway 1:00 pm rolled around and we were so excited to see FNM and guessed that they would be one of the first bands on. Wrong again. They were dead last. We suffered through 10 hours of absolute shit. The BIGGEST shit of all being Megadeth. Those glam rocking idiots came on, did 2 encores, and babbled for about 10 minutes kissing the radio stations ass that was sponsering Rockstock, and cut in on FNM's playing time. Not to mention the fact that they attracted every beer swilling, toothless, cousin fucking inbreeder in the place(and man were there a lot of those) There are not enough words to accurately describe my utter hatred for Megadeth. After 10 hours the event finally arreived. The music from 2001 came on and brilliance followed. Here's the list in a probably incorrect order

  1. Intro 2001
  2. Collision
  3. Midlife Crisis
  4. Gentle Art Of Making Enemies
  5. Last Cup Of Sorrow
  6. Evidence
  7. Easy
  8. Introduce Yourself
  9. Got That Feeling
  10. King For A Day
  11. Home Sick Home
  12. Ashes to Ashes
  13. Naked In Front Of the Computer
  14. Epic
  15. "I Believe I Can Fly" (R.Kelley)
  16. Just A Man

Patton was right on the mark. Before Evidence and Easy he started yelling "Show me the Money!" As they were starting Home Sick Home he asked the crowd"How many people here have already passed out and woken up again?" They crowd cheered and Mike said"This is my kinda town, so it's like morning to you eh? Time to wake up! Time to get up and fuck!" After the song he asked"How many people got laid during that last song? I'll drink to that!" The funniest part came when Billy came to the mic and said(mocking Megadeth) "How many people here listen to the radio?" Then Roddy said "The radio sucks!" Then Patton said "How many people are listening to the radio right now?" The crowd didn't know how to respond and a few people cheered and Patton said Uh-Oh. Then they went into Last Cup of Sorrow. This was especially funny after just seeing Dave Mustaine kiss Rock 103.5's ASS all night long. The sound was AWESOME! The vocals were tight, the music was tight, and John Hudson played the guitar exceptionally. Mike sang If I had wings I would Fly at the end of Epic. As they were beginning Just A Man they informed everyone it would be the last song, and people were booing cause they wanted more. Patton said "You should be happy, you've been here for 15 fucking hours" FNM was simply great. I only wish they would have played longer. Unfortunately their time was wasted by Megadeth. If you have a chance, and Megadeth isn't within 500 miles of the stage, GO SEE FAITH NO MORE!!!
