This show drew a good capacity crowd. (The Unicorn is an old Kroger grocery store that's been gutted out and made into a medium-sized music venue, which I'd guess holds 1,500 to 2,000 people.) Also, lots of people were at the show early enough to catch most of the opening bands (Maybe because FNM didn't start until around 11 or so.) A few minutes before Faith No More came out onstage, a group of about a dozen fans sang "RV" all the way through, drawing amusement from those not singing. (A particularly loud cheer went up when the band played the song later that night too...)

The band came out and started with aerobics (jumping jacks, someone even did pushups too). This show was incredible!! Almost everyone there was really, really into the band, and the energy of the show itself was great! They played for almost 2 hours, and every minute of it was unbelievable!!

Mike didn't talk too much during the show. All I remember him saying was, "Time for a pit stop," in reference to the huge pit that went nonstop through the whole show, as the band started "Woodpecker from Mars". The pit didn't stop, but I doubt anyone expected it would. Also, at the end of "RV", he ad-libbed a little in reference to a recent string of food poisonings at Jack in the Box fast food restaurants. He said, "I'll just tell 'em what my daddy always told me....Don't ever eat at Jack in the Box!!"
