Two words about the opening band, LimpBizkit, THEY SUCKED. During their set though I noticed Roddy and Billy walking around so I went over and told them what an excellent album "Album Of The Year" is and how its properly titled and I had Roddy sign my ticket, Billy had walked away by this time, anyway about ten minutes later I saw the man Mike Patton walk in and I ran over to him like a little girl. Someone else must have thought the same thing cause he cut me off and started chewing his ear off about something but whatever it was it excited him cause he told the guy to meet him there after the show, lucky bastard, I did however get a handshake in and told him to put on a good show which they indeed did. They took the stage all wearing black suits, except for Puff who had on traditional black converse and shorts, to the theme from "2001 Space Odyssey" and then some guy saying "direct from wherever in las vegas or something Faith No More" and Patton took the mic in his hand and sreamed like only he can "1 2 3 4 Collision" and the show was rolling.
1.COLLISION great song to start a show with and a good crowd mover 2.MIDLIFE CRISIS 3.LAST CUP OF SORROW 4.GENTLE ART OF MAKING ENEMIES everything from KFAD was excellent 5.EVIDENCE again sounded great Patton was perfect 6.EASY too many good originals to still be doing this one 7.INTRODUCE YOURSELF good way to get the crowd moving again 8.UGLY IN THE MORNING good way to get the crowd moving even more and it sounded great especially Patton on the "dont look at me..." ending 9.ASHES TO ASHES 10.HIGHWAY STAR (DEEP PURPLE) again way too many others to be done 11.KING FOR A DAY without a doubt the best song of the night extra long ending with Patton at his absolute best 12.PRISTINA wasnt expecting that one, it was good anyway 13.EPIC how can this be the only song they do from "The Real Thing" 14.NAKED IN FRONT OF THE COMPUTER 15.JUST A MAN without a doubt the second best song of the night and in my opinion Faith No More's best song ever ENCORE 16.THIS GUYS IN LOVE WITH YOU stop with the covers already! was cool to see Mike playing the melodica for this one 17.STRIPSEARCH best sounding song of the night and a big surprise to me 18.CAFFEINE extra extra long middle great way to end a great show
Alittle dissapointed that there wasnt more songs done from TheReal Thing or Angel Dust and way too many covers done i understand them doing Easy still but enoughs enough. John Hudson fits great with the band and will hopefully be a fixture for a long time. The rest of the band was perfect and as for Patton what can you say hes the greatest. The place the show was at was small which was good but being from Long Island and being to the city for shows all the time with us bad ass New Yorkers, the crowd in Jersey realy sucked and the fifteen or so bouncers actually standing in the pit to make sure noone got to crazydidnt help much either but im not complaning i met Mike Patton that alone made it worth the 2+ hour drive.
